這首 Hey You 是收錄在 這張專輯裡的一首歌，而 The Wall 則被視為樂團的顛峰之作，整張專輯傳達的意象便是代表禁錮與安全的牆垛 the Wall，並且還曾推出電影版本。
害怕受傷而恐懼，構築自我意象的通天城堡；害怕孤寂而出走，顫抖而祈求城牆毀壞。如同高塔的公主滿懷企望 someone else will come

當然實際上， Pink Floyd 在寫這首歌時的意象是一個想要自我了斷的少年卻又發覺了斷生路不易，因此又想要求生。也有人說，它描寫的是現代人被知識所束縛、所隔離，卻也被知識所殺死。
不過，後現代理論下，作者已死。也就各憑本事各自表述了。（甜笑）我倒覺得 MTV 裡所呈現的又是另一個模樣。
